Overview
Wagner’s Paint Crew sprayer offers homeowners the ability to apply paint under pressure without having to invest in an industrial-strength paint sprayer. The Paint Crew contains its own motor to produce air pressure, thereby avoiding the need for a large and expensive air compressor. The Paint Crew is constructed with minimal moving parts, so repairs are rarely needed, but problems can occur. Fortunately, most problems associated with the Paint Crew can be attributed to user error that can be corrected, or to clogs that can be easily cleared.

Instructions
1 Turn the spray gun’s trigger lock switch, located behind the trigger, to its downward position, then press and hold the trigger down. Turn the power switch on the hopper to the “ON” position. Turn the control knob to the “SPRAY” position. Continue to hold the gun trigger down until material exits the gun.
2 Clean the inlet filter if the sprayer still does not produce material. The inlet filter is located at the bottom of the hopper’s basin, and must be cleared of any clogs. Pour any material within the hopper’s basin into the paint container, then pull the inlet filter out of the hopper. If latex paint was used in the hopper, clean the filter with warm, soapy water. If oil based paint was used, clean the filter with mineral spirits. Press the inlet filter back into the hopper.
3 Replace the outlet valve. The outlet valve is located on the front of the hopper, to the left of the “PRIME/SPRAY” knob. Unscrew the valve with a wrench, then clean the valve’s housing on the hopper with warm, soapy water if latex paint was used, or with mineral spirits if oil based paint was used. Tighten the replacement outlet valve into the hopper with a wrench.
4 Clean the spray tip of any clogs. Turn the spray gun’s trigger lock switch, located behind the trigger, to its upward position. Turn the unit off. Twist the knob on the left side of the spray nozzle so that the pointed tip of the knob faces the back of the spray gun. Turn the control knob on the base of the hopper to the “SPRAY” position, then turn the unit on. Point the spray gun at a piece of cardboard or other scrap material, then pull the gun’s trigger. Release the trigger once material flows out of the gun at high pressure. Turn the knob on the left side of the spray nozzle so that its pointed tip faces the front of the gun.
5 Thin or strain the material, as it may be too thick or contain paint globs.
6 Replace the outlet valve.
